Haus Dogs vs Rover

Rover is the largest pet-care marketplace in the country and the reason most people know this category exists. It has enormous supply, a well-built app, and a reimbursement guarantee we do not match. It is also national and algorithmic: you are matched to a profile, and the first time you meet the person is usually when they arrive at your door.

Choose Rover if…

You are outside metro Atlanta, you need someone tonight in a city we do not cover, or veterinary reimbursement is the thing you cannot do without.

Choose Haus Dogs if…

You want to meet the person before they hold your dog's leash, and you would rather your provider be a familiar face than a search result.

If you're a provider

You keep more of what you charge here.

Haus Dogs
18% of the service price, capped at $250 per booking. No subscription, no listing fee. Or switch to Pro after 5 bookings: $99/month flat, no commission on services.
Rover
20% of the rate you set, on every booking, with no cap.

On a $100 booking that is $18 to us and $82 to you — and because our share is capped, it stops growing on the big jobs, where the work is yours and the introduction was ours.

Common questions

Is Haus Dogs cheaper than Rover?
Not necessarily — providers set their own rates on both platforms, so the rate is the rate. What differs is that our booking fee is 5% and the exact total is shown before you confirm, with nothing added at checkout.
Does Haus Dogs have a guarantee like Rover's?
No. Rover offers up to $25,000 reimbursement for eligible vet care and we do not match that. What we offer instead is help finding a better match from the pack, with no booking fee on the rebooking.
Can I use both?
Plenty of people do, especially while travelling. Haus Dogs only covers metro Atlanta, so a national platform still has a place for trips.
I'm a provider — how does the commission compare?
Rover takes 20% of the rate you set, on every booking, with no cap. Our commission is lower and capped per booking, so it stops growing on long or high-value work, and there is a flat monthly Pro option once you are established. Current figures are on the comparison above and on our provider page, rendered from live pricing.
